Since our favorite camp at Burning Man had to take a couple years off, we decided to bring the playa to VR!

We built digital twins of almost the entire fleet of Walter art cars, and populated a massive sandbox with art and music from several makers in the Walter community. We hosted all-night dance parties where participants could enjoy exclusive DJ sets while base jumping from a giant sand castle, stepping into 360 immersive photos of IRL maker spaces, and learning about the culture of Burning Man from folks who have been bringing their engaging spectacles to the playa for over a decade.
